Budapest is one of Europe's finest cities and Sziget one of the world's best festivals. Sziget is famous and popular, but still many visitors haven't yet really discovered the magnificent city it takes place in. Save yourself some money and combine the festival with a great city-trip.
In daytime: Visit museums and exhibitions, buy great food at the ancient market halls and have picnics in the parks or on the hills, enjoy a good terrace in the ciry, go downhill with a rented mountain bike at 2 km from the centre, check out Hungarian design shops or visit the magnificent thermal baths.
In nighttime: Bring wine and join the locals in the parks, discover the labyrinths of the famous (but well hidden) ruin bars of Budapest, party in one of the great clubs of Budapest near the Danube river or on the roof in city centre, enjoy quality dinner for pub-prices and see the sun coming up at Gellert hill the next morning..
